Omni University – Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling or using any Omni University platform or services, you confirm acceptance of these Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) and agree to be legally bound in accordance with South African law.
2. Agreement Formation
The agreement arises at the moment you first access the website or register, and it is governed by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act). No contract is concluded simply by sending an email or message; a contractual offer requires acknowledgement by Omni University.
3. Services and Changes
Omni University reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any service, course, fee, or policy, subject to proper notice. In case of material changes to a programme or service, you may withdraw without penalty and receive a refund of applicable fees already paid.
4. Fees, Payment & Refunds
- All fees, levies, and other costs must be paid as stipulated in your registration agreement.
- A cooling-off period may apply (e.g., full refund within 7 days or within 14 days of gaining access to course materials for distance/online learning).
- Physical goods (e.g., books, merchandise) can be returned within 7–30 days, subject to reasonable conditions, proof of purchase, and original packaging.
5. User Conduct & Academic Integrity
You are required to comply with the university’s academic code of conduct. Any form of dishonesty, plagiarism, or misconduct may lead to disciplinary action, including module cancellation, academic suspension, or permanent expulsion.
6. Liability and Disclaimers
All services and content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Omni University will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses arising from use of the website, learning platform, services, or reliance on course content. You indemnify the university against any damages resulting from misuse or unauthorized use of the platforms.
7. Data Protection & Privacy
Omni University processes personal information in accordance with South African data protection laws. Your data may be used for purposes related to administration, education delivery, compliance, communication, and support. Sensitive data (such as health or religious information) will be handled with additional safeguards.
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials, curriculum content, visual assets, and trademarks are the exclusive property of Omni University or its licensors. No part may be copied, distributed, republished, uploaded, or transmitted without express written permission.
9. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these T&C is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will still be fully enforceable. These Terms and Conditions represent the entire agreement between the student and Omni University regarding the subject matter.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
11. Contact & Notices
All official notices must be directed to the administrative contact email or physical address specified on the Omni University website. Legal and academic notices may be sent via email or official student communication channels.
